Welcome! As you can see, we like pictures. Ones of the actual scooter you want to sell are especially helpful.

Pics!!
Here they are...you can see the minor scratches on the side. A little sanding, paint, and clear coat should do it I would imagine. There isn't any body damage.

That Limited Edition Data Plate looks odd - just a number? I thought it had other information on there as well - or is yours some other variant, perhaps?

Perfectly logical explanation for that! A while back, I transported my scooter when I moved from Ohio to CA, and you can see where the blue tie downs hold the bike in place...well to my surprise the rocking motion caused the strap to rub against the ink on the number plate. I suppose when Vespa made the number plates they only thought it would be cool to press the number of the bike in the metal and that's it. When Vespa manufactured these number plates I guess they should have thought of that. Oh well.

first off - good luck on the sale. second - be grateful for the good luck you had during the trailering effort. I am surprised the only damage is the rubbing off of ink. I cant say Ive ever seen a bike tied down that way and not have a bad story to go along with it... maybe your mini is not the "S" model so it was a slow tow

ok - back on track with the ad.

Oh sorry...yeah I couldn't get the 's' model because it was 5k more. Some people can't afford seven bikes like yourself. We're talking about the bike, not the mini. Your high horse comments aren't welcome here. cheers

Easy tiger - wasn't poking fun of your car. Minis are awesome - that's what my wife drives! And trust me - I'm never on a high horse. I was just (uninvitedly) commenting on how you tied that scoot during transport. Anyhow - back on track - good luck with the sale. The px is a sweet platform with many upgrades available - or run it as is.

+1. A very atypical method of transport....stand down, straps on paint. Karma smiled on you, believe it.

I cannot for the life of me understand how that bike didn't tip over.

Next time you trailer a Vespa open up the seat and put the strap through in front of the seat pin. When you close the seat the strap will stay put. No need to chance breaking a taillight. You should never trailer with the center-stand down either. And the front straps should go to the handle bars only using soft-straps or a canyon dancer. Front wheel should be chaucked and straight.

Not being a know-it-all, I would just hate to see you damage such a nice scoot.

BTW.................... nice scoot.

I did eventually use another strap and had the back tie down through the seat so it wouldn't wobble side to side as much. still has OH title. I'll take $2800 for it. I can't do less, these things are hard to find and its a good bike...at least I've searched google and craigslist up and down and couldn't find much..

Just a quick question: does anyone know the difference, if there is one, between the standard PX150 and the Ltd edition, apart from color and tag?

I think you may have trouble selling it to anyone in Cali due to emissions issues and such, but I could be wrong.

Good luck with the sale!

You should register it in CA before you try to sell it. It will make it CA legal, legally. If someone else in CA wants it and you have not already registered it, they cannot legally register it..

I did some DMV research and found this:
Quote:
Does this Apply to Someone Moving to California?

If you are moving to California from another state, you may register a new 49-State vehicle if it was first registered by you in your home state, or for military personnel, in the last state of your military service. When applying for vehicle registration in California, you must provide evidence that the vehicle was registered.
As you moved to CA from Ohio, you can register it in CA. It will make it much easier to sell

Very important! Make sure you print out that DMV regulation so if anyone gives you an issue at the DMV, you can just show it to them.

How's the bike running? Electric start work? Have you recently ridden it? Stock exhaust /jetting?

The DMV counter at AAA won't register an out of state vehicle, at least mine didn't. I had to suffer with DMV. I HATE going to DMV!
