Saw this mod on a ruckus forum website while searching for tasteful solutions:

Found one on eBay to give it a try. It's a Saab/Subaru cup holder. Found mine for $35 shipping inc.

In the final paint and install stages. Here are some pics to get an idea of what's involved.

i need to find some black silicone to fill in a gap i made on the top. otherwise, we're done here.

That is a great mod!

That cupholder is straight out of my Saab 9-5. It will hold a 20 oz bottle very securely (especially the contoured Coke/Diet Coke bottles), but it has a hard time handling large cups. I haven't had any issues with drinks tipping, but this is in my car.

Report back to us with your findings. Others will be looking at this closely I think.

thanks for the compliments everyone. couldn't find black silicone at the home improvement stores. then i figured that they'd have it at the auto supply store, which they did.

i will report back when i try it out some more.

Just a note, when looking for black silicone if you ask for black caulk they'll think you said something else...ask my wife.
