Hi guys,

I've lurked for quite a while - great forum(s) - I've gleaned a lot of useful info from here.

I'm a Brit, living en France and have a few scooters (several makes.)

Anyway, just thought I'd say "Hi!"

Sorry about that.

I'm afraid I'm English, but have lived here 8+ years now.

Thanks for the 'welcome'.

Yeah, it's all 'D' roads (and smaller) . . . lots of hills and twisties . . . we love it here. Hot summers too - although this winter has been WET!

Yeah, I dived in and bought it.

I prefer the orange to the matt/satin black too. No offence to matt/satin black scooter owners.

Yeah, you get a lot of 'real estate' here in France . . . for not a lot of money.

ANOTHER reason I like it here.

Salut and welcome

Like you I have a taste for many types of scooter. my last was a Burgman 400 but am loving the GTS250.

I do like the looks of your Burgman 200.

I have had a long standing love for France and nearly everything French. Unlike you I have not had the courage to make the move to France. We have discussed it until the cows come home. I think one of my hang ups is the learning of the language, just don't seem to get anywhere.

Bon courage Phil

Oh be still my heart! That is a beautiful scooter. Welcome to MV. Now about your place near Limoges. Do you have plenty of room if a dozen or so of us appeared on your doorstep one day?

The kettle is always on . . . dunno about 12 though!

I've had eight mates here at one time, previously.

Thank you.

I only have O-Level French myself (from 40 years ago) - I manage to bob along.

Bienvenue! I lived in Normandy for three years. I would have loved to have a scoot there but it literally rained 300 days a year. You are just north of the Dordogne which is possibly the most beautiful part of France. I love it there! I could live in Sarlat any time but Limoges and Limosin are lovely.
