To me it looks close. But I want to hear what other people think.

I saw this color and fell in love. What do you think about that color on a US 74 Rally with no turn signals, no luggage rack?

This is off a Swedish 73 Rally.

yea thats the blue color you see on all those old P2's and its usually faded and beat up.

Jimmy knows the slang name for that color. I like it personally.

Owner of the blue Rally pictured above gave me a link to this site. It's in Italian but Google translate works well.

Azzurro cina (China Blue) 402 was used from 1973 and was for export markets; specifically the Swiss and Swedish markets--possibly more. Most of the known examples are from 1973 (i.e. Vespa script badge and uppercase RALLY 200 rear badge) but the 2nd picture below is from a 1976 Greek Rally 200 so it appears that Piaggio continued it through the production for at least a few years and it resurrected on the P-series (also widely used on smallframes).

The other blues used in Rally 200 production were the 1975 Blu Marina 275 (Marina Blue) and the 1977 Blue Jeans 228 (also used on the ET3) but these are much darker blues (see below).

Are you thinking of painting a Rally 200 in factory colours? If so you're in luck as they came in at least 23 different factory colours!

That color is beautiful. I wish we got those other colors here in the states.

Damn I forgot I posted this. In 2012 too! I managed to track down the owner of that blue Rally and the color is China Blue. I've been dreaming about getting a bike like that since I saw it those years ago. I just started another thread about it 😜

Great color no matter how necro the thread. Isn't it time to share one of those Rally's with someone else? I have one, you have four, C'mon man!

He he.

Actually I'm up to 5 complete Rallys and parts for a 6th. PM me if you want to haggle. I could use the garage space.
