![]() Wow, it sure looks like it could be the same bike.
That's good to hear. Vintage Italian motorcycles I'm familiar with. But thought I should get some advice on the Vespa. Thanks for the reply. Bill |

![]() I agree no red flags, but it's hard to say from just those photos. What has the seller told you about the provenance of the bike?
If you can share a picture of the motor, that would be a good next step for us to help you here. |

![]() The only thing i find suspect it's the owners avoidance of taking close up pictures of helpful details. Like if that was intentional photo of the speedo, it's so far away you can't see any details of it. Makes me wonder why... And these are the things that give me confidence or not in buying used items from someone.

![]() I have laid eyes on the scoot. And I was the one who took the pics. When I get a chance to get to the scooter this weekend I'll take some pics of the engine.
I understand what you saying and agree with you. Thanks again everyone for your input. Bill |

![]() In the interest of brevity I didn't tell the whole story. My fault. I agree with everything you said. In the last week I have responded to a half dozen CL ads. Not a single one was legit. No more CL for me, I'm afraid.

Trying to make sense of this Rally 200 up on ebay. Not necessarily from SEA but its got the following; Internal Foot brake like a P200 Tail light doesn't look like a rally one, Front guard looks like its been mooshed out for the shocker Euro headset with the Key in the top (only the US ones had those?) White speedometer.. Didn't they only come out in black? ![]() |

![]() About red P above From Facebook:
Quote: That is a PX frame, extended in the rear to accept Rally side covers. The horn cover is welded on, and it has a widened Rally front fender over a PX fork. The Rally handlebars are dropped a few degrees. I know that because I built this bike about 20 years ago in Germany.... ....The then owner wanted the vintage look with more modern reliability. The handlebars cam from my cutdown PX, which was in pieces at that time.... .....No kit, all handmade in metal. |

![]() Looking at buying this. Let me know if you see any red flags. Thanks in advance.
https://classifieds.ksl.com/listing/55828804 It’s advertised as a 1966 Super 150. Seller stated that “I purchased it already restored by, I think, the genuine buddy scooter company in Chicago. It was sent to the Salt Lake scooter company, which is no longer in business. Everything on it is as it seems, very good condition and it had 0 miles on it when I bought it.” Last edited by MP2019 on Wed May 08, 2019 11:55 pm; edited 1 time in total |

![]() I dont see any red flags but its hard to see to the right of the helmet hook. The nammers usually have an ignition switch there. It has a PX engine which would be very unusual for a nammer.
|
![]() No red flags here. No bondoed seams, original square numberplat holder.
Nice scooter, like the colour! |

![]() Probably Indian restoration. P-series centerstand, rear brake pedal rubber has flat tabs that hang off, and the front fork is a Bajaj replacement fork that has the weird front hub with the fins cut down.

SW put motors & cables in them, but they frames were painted in Asia. I saw several of them at one time or another at SW, even have a picture some of them lined up in the warehouse. That wasn't one of the colors I saw, but there could certainly be more colors that I didn't see. |

![]() ohh no bondo is no longer holding up.
Restored 2 years ago by a well known scooter shop in town (according to seller). Well there is no well known scooter shop in this part of town beside Scooter West that's 70miles away in SD. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Looks ok, but I am not qualified to pick the nitty gritty from the pictures. Do you think the restoration was really done in New Mexico? And what parts do not belong on this Sprint? |

I had a list of a dozen or more things wrong, but the cat jumped on my keyboard and somehow deleted them. Short version: looks like a VBB with a 10" conversion and lots of bondo, then somebody slapped some sprint cowls on it. |
![]() another de-bodged scoot. Chatted with Seller, He reassured me it's straight from Italy and never made a stop for some decades in Nam.
at least, it is still an 8" unless the guy already reverted back since purchased as project. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
