Actually, I now live in central Niagara Region.

Anyway, literally just into the office after using my scoot for the first time - fabulous!

Mid may I was in Toronto with a few hours to kill and thought I'd check out Vespa Toronto West to look, talk, and learn. A couple hours later I walked out with a bill of sale for a 2014 GTV300 that had recently been sold back to Lou. Single owner, 1100km, Sienna White, crash chrome around the hips added. A beauty that I noticed sitting at the back of the shop. Untill this point, I'd only ever used japanese scooters while in various asian countries...a ride from "sea to sky" (Hai Van Pass) in Vietnam in 2017 had me hooked. I sat on this Vespa and just felt it.... "Lou, what does the process to purchase look like?"

I live in Niagara, needed to get licensed and insurance sorted, and was travelling a lot for work so it took a little time to work out delivery logistics. Took the M2 course over the weekend (where i did really learn to enjoy riding the Honda Repsol incidentally). Insurance activated yesterday. Today I'm on the road with my Vespa, which I named Lucetta.

I'm not typically inclined to do much in the way of modding per se, but I have ordered LED light kits from Scooter West and a couple cosmetic things like tan grip and knee covers.

If anyone is ever visiting the Niagara Region and wants to meet for a boot and some great gelato....I know a spot!

Cheers

Hope you and Lucetta have a long happy relationship.

Epic beard BTW.

I wouldn't mind a run to Niagara. Back in the day Niagara on the Lake was always the first rally of the season.

Welcome to MV from the Great White North!

Oh.. right... you are in the Great White North... kind of lacks punch when that happens.

I am up for an MV trek to Niagara on the Lake for sure!

Let's make this happen peeps! I need to get my iron-butt in shape (reference and respect to Treppenwitz), in prep for our Amalfi coast Vespa trip in August.

Sure, let's see how things play out. BTW here is an original rally patch from back in the day. I have managed to hang on to it over the years, marriages and moves. This would have been from the late 80's or early 90's.

I'd prefer to ride up the day before or something along those lines and stay in a B&B or hotel. Lots of good wineries and restaurants etc and I wouldn't mind some fine dining and time to poke around as well as a small group ride if we can get a few of us to do this. Way back when I got this patch we'd sleep in a farmers field and in tents. Those days are long behind me.... I now prefer a 4 star hotel or B&B with a comfy bed and internet access. I'm planning on taking off for a few days ride soon and some company would be welcome. Normally I would not take the Vespa but for this for sure I would.

So if anyone is serious about a run to Niagara I am planning on a 3 day trip mid July to blow off some stress. I am definitely in executive burnout mode and need a get away without the wife or dogs as much as I love them.

Let me know if anyone is in then sure Niagara works for me. Otherwise I may stretch it to 4 days and head up to Manitoulin or something along those lines. If other Vespa riders are in I'll take the GTV otherwise the BMW. I do ride on the freeway and I know David does as well but I'm willing to do the avoid motorways think as well.

I had the same MacBook Pro 13" with the "Touch-me" bar. As a hardcore Apple fanboy, I just found myself more and more on my iMac 27 or iPad Pro 11" and so I sold it. But that's just me. Now I only wish they had a touchscreen MacBook Pro.
