Thanks berto. It was a lot of fun hanging out with Robot and crew for the afternoon. The guys at VM are about the friendliest folks you'd ever want to meet. Best of all, they know Vespa/Piaggio products inside and out.

Nice video and good questions, however I noticed you constantly finish Robots sentences.

Might want to work on that before ABC offers you a job.

If I'm ever back in San Diego I know I'll make a point to stop by for a visit. Seems like a cool place and after watching a ton of Robot's videos it would be neat to meet him.

I'm hoping to make it back to SD sometime next year. If I do, you can bet Vespa Motorsport will be on the agenda.

Trains are miserable way to travel in the US, tracks are terrible.

Interesting that Robot feels that the plastic BV350 is a "much better value" than Vespas, and that many of the techs in the shop choose to own them!
And I see he is still pushing the Liberty150i as a top choice for 150's.

Better value doesn't mean "better" . A Ford is a better value than a Lamborghini .

Ahhh... the negativity that is WEB-Tech strikes again. You make quite a judgmental statement and one that in my opinion is largely false. Granted, there are quite a few stretches of track that are very poor and that's because Amtrak owns less than 5% of the track it travels on. The other 95% is track it must lease from freight rail companies whose cargo couldn't care either way. That being said, I've traveled over 20,000 miles via US passenger trains in the past few years, had great track most of the time, and a great experience almost always.

How many passenger train trips have you been on and to where?

My take is similar to yours. I've been told most of the shop owns BV350's for just that reason - better value for the buck and better performance.

I've seen his BV in person. Has a number of speed/power enhancing mods.

I hear he gets discounts now and then.

Yup, the BV sure is faster and a better value. Doesn't look like a Vespa though which is a big reason a lot of us own Vespas is the beauty of it. My BMW scoot will kick the ass out of any BV . Doesn't look like a Vespa but that's OK I have one of those and love it. Mind you they work at a Piaggio shop so the BV is a good choice.

I have watched your video several times, very nicely done IMHO

Can you or anyone else fill me in on Steve's departure ?
I thought he was an interesting guy .
Always brought a different perspective when he was in the shop video's with Robot.

I also watched all the video's I could find on the shop's trip to Mexico , good stuff.

Steve simply decided to call it a day. He was a partner in the business, and Alex bought him out. No animosity from what Iím told. Steveís still in the area doing something NSR. According to Robot, Steve organized the Mexico trips and thatís why we havenít seen one lately.
