Hi Vespa lovers.
I have a project 300 cc GTS with a seized engine, the head is ok, crank is bad. After pricing the replacement crank and all the parts that i will have to replaced I deided to get a salvaged bike with a good motor and do a swap. All the 300s were too expensive to jutify the purchase, so I got my hands on GTS 250. I got the engine out and now i am thinking on putting it back into 300. The only thing i am missing on is the throttle body. I dont have a key for 250 so I have to pay to get it cut and programmed. I will also have to swap the plug from the stator or replace the stator.
Quick question: do you think the throttle body on 250 is different from 300? can i use 300 body on 250 engine?
P.S. I figured judging by the part number throttles body are different. What about swapping the top end including cylinder head, piston and keeping the 300cc throttle body. the rest should fit, correct?
