Last year (2019) I was offered a damaged Vespa GTS 250ie with a Belgian license plate for a good amount.
At that time, the Vespa had less than 6000Km. Built end of 2009
I live in the Netherlands myself, so the vespa was financially attractive to buy.
The vespa itself was not in very good shape, but that was a nice challenge. fortunately the engine was 100% in good condition.
Here I have connected the cable harness to see if the engine started
When the engine was OK I started baldging the vespa on the front.
When the vespa was bald, I started the search for replacement parts.
luckily I could find a vespa that was sold in parts where only the engine was not available.
I took the vespa away where they set the frame straight.
Then I welded the front cover onto the fram
After that I built up the vespa to see if everything fit.
After the vespa was put together, I made an appointment to drive to the inspection station with a one-day license plate.
The vespa has been approved and the Dutch license plate has arrived.
I also bought a second-hand Akrapovic exhaust
