Hi all,

So i wanted to ask if anyone can point me in the right direction.

The MP3 was parked outside in heavy rain yesterday and since then my fan is on all the time. the only time it goes off obviously is if I pull the 15amp fuse or disconnect the battery.

The fan is ticking if the bike is sitting and not started or even turned on, it then whirls up and runs.

Coolant in topped up and no indicator lights on the dash.

I had the bike off the battery all night and soon as i hooked it back up I could hear the fan clicking, changed the fuse too and same thing. any advise?

Or fan relay could be broken. What's on heat scale on the dashboard?

Normal, starts with no bars then gets just to half way

The temperature sensor is in two parts - one just feeds the dash indicator, the other feeds the ECU which switches on the fan relay. If you swap over the wires and the temp gauge goes haywire but the fan stays off - then it's one half of the sensor that's faulty - replace it. If there's no change - FIX the wiring.

That pretty much proves it's a chafed wire shorting to frame. Not a good idea on the fan circuit, which is 'live' all the time.
