I apologize if this has been asked before.

Can the 400's front wheels be removed at the same time for tire changes? If so, where's a good jack-up point?

I use a regular automotive floor jack with a piece board on the pad to spread the load a little. Then just lift gently under the fuel tank. Not super stable that way but it gets the job done.

I suppose if you had the right facilities you could hoist it by the handlebars.

Thank you. We're doing it the one-wheel-at-a-time method but it's a half hour trip one way to transport the wheel to get the new tire mounted and balanced.

Another option is to have a spare set of front rims then you can get the new tires mounted and balanced and install them whenever you want to. I do this for the rear to minimize down time.

That very thought occurred to me during my second trip back to the shop.

yes you can do a double front removal. need to cut a 4x4 to fit between the axels of each somewhere around 22" , then using a floor jack under the 4x4 carefully lift the complete front end just so the fronts are barely off the ground.
