Just curious what you people wear around your wrists.

No matter what watch I buy, I always seem to come back to this one:

Cheapo $25 workhorse

I think I'll be buying this one after work today:

Nerdy eh?

I have a nice watch that I never wear anymore. The wristband would scratch my MacBook Pro when I'm working so I stopped wearing it.

That is a reproduction Hamilton Ventura, wich was the very first battery operated watch.

It made a comeback after Men in Black as the standard MIB watch they wore.

Watches are bad juju, when I need to be time conscious I have an Omega Seamaster given to me as my first bonus by The Mirage. The bracelet needed repair and I got a $565 quote for replacement. Now it's a nice Swiss watch in a drawer mostly, with a $11 leather band. How prioroties change.....

But I do have a really nice collapsible carbon fiber cane with a retractible hardened steel ice spike that fits in the pet carier....

I have a whole mess of old Swatches dating back to 1985, and lots of silly kids' watches, all with dead batteries. The Lego one is my favorite.

These days, I only wear my three watches that don't require batteries. I have two Citizen Eco-Drive watches, which are solar powered. One is a women's stainless Corso with a mother-of-pearl dial; the other is a men's Calibre with lots of bells and whistles, including moon phase. Setting the latter is a PAIN IN THE ASS.

I also have a big-ass Russian KGB watch made by Vostok. It's automatic and usually quits running if I don't wear it for more than a couple of days.

This is what I wear. I bought mine last year, it was made in 1958 and I had it fully restored.

I've recently developed a bit of a luxury watch fetish ( to go along with my newfound luxury car fetish )

The fiancee just bought me this as a wedding present as the analogue to the engagement ring i posted back in January. I told her i didn't want an expensive ring ... rather, a cheap ring and a nice watch.

I bought a Rolex Submariner (red lettering) in 1971 for $365. It has had the pure living S*** beat out of it for 30+ years and still works fine. I quit wearing a watch when I moved onto the island. You don't need no stinkin' watch when you live on an Island.
