good one bobby. I hope M@'s bike makes it because he's talking about riding Napa to Vegas this year. I haven't committed to that ride yet.
Bobby, what was the original color of your GT before you painted it? |

wow, that is a really cool flyer, do you know who did the artwork?
was it a scooterist (elliott a. smith), or was it photoshop'd to add the scooter element? |

Event info?
I see that the info from this year's Vegas rally is posted. Does anyone know if there is event info for 2006 yet? Or when it will be posted?
thanx. |

I was kind of wondering about the schedule for rides, gatherings, etc. I suppose it will all be posted as the date gets closer.
I think I'm there in any case! |

Never been to a ralley before. Do you trailer your scooter to the event? How do you end up meeting other fellow scooterists? Is there any particular ralley etiquette I should be aware of?

i try to ride to the rallys i go to
But if its more then a few hundred miles i trailer (like to vegas) as far as etiquette Just be carefull with your fancy disk brakes most of the older scoots have kind of shitty brakes & it would be terrible to cause a pile up |

I'm booked at the Spike. Feb 17th and 18th. I've done the five days thing there the first time I did High Rollers, and that was five days too long. I'll bring a pack of cloves or camels depending on my mood.

Matt - Sorry to hear that, but I completely understand. We'll be there and will try to meet up with any MV folks we can find. Hopefully, we'll mint some more while we're there.
We've got most of the details worked out. We're going with another couple (Hupp and his SO). I'm borrowing my neighbors trailer (5x8, completely enclosed) and I'm trying to work out how to fit three scooters in there. I've just put a hitch receiver on my truck, and I've managed to get ahold of the factory tow package wiring harness to hook up the electrics. I'm actually really excited about the ride out to the Hoover dam on Saturday. Should be a lot of fun. |

the only issue with mine is it has 1 wheel chock for a GT/ET/LX
& a smaller chock for a stella/rally200 & LT150 it does have a ton eye bolts to hold the scoots safely |

Old school, baby!
As of today, we're booked at the Stardust.
Turns out the Venetian was quite reasonable for Thursday and Sunday nights ($120 or so) but they wanted over $500 per night for Friday and Saturday. Ouch. |

Yeah, Stardust showed up on their web site as sold out for us as well, but Expedia had an allotment of rooms available there.
That was actually our experience on a number of sites -- some hotels had rooms, some did not, some middlemen had rooms, some did not. It seems that "sold out" doesn't really mean sold out. |

Vegas 2006
I am putting together time and of course MONEY to do Vegas '06
For you folks from Napa or San Fransisco. How long does it take you to get to Las Vegas? And what route? Here in Redding it takes 12 hours(redding/susanville/reno/fallon/Vegas) Or 11 1/2 hours(redding/bakerfield/mohave/barstow/Vegas) This is traveling at a reasonable speed, say 70-80mph Thanks |

i think it took me about 12 hours
we were pulling trailers down I5 to bakersfield & we can only go 55-60 when pulling the trailers (we learned that lesson the hard way) |

Watch out for dates being out of sequence on the high roller event calender.
The days and times seem to be o.k. Looks to be a fun time. |

We are staying at the Sahara for Vegas 2006
My question is those of us staying at hotels with velet service. Will a velet accept a scooter or motorcycle? Will they jump on it and park it with the rest of the cars or will they let you park it to the side? Will they take the same security measures as with cars? Anyone tried this? Thanks |

Valet service
I stayed at paris las vegas last year, valet did not understand what a scooter is, but there was some secure and camera'd garage parking for bikes. lotsa expensive harleys and ducati's ect there. so i left mine there with my alarm on and cable lock in place. spoke to guard on duty and gave him my room # in case there is a problem. scooter was never touched. I know the head valet ceasers and i hope he can look after my scoot.
