What is with these freakin' people? I've been watching their ads for at least 25 years, and they always show women in house dresses becoming millionaires, always in distant parts of the country, wherever you are. Does anyone on this forum know of anyone, anywhere, who has actually won something from Publishers Clearing House? Or do you know anyone who knows anyone who has won something, anything, from PCH? This could be a scam that makes Bernie Madoff look like a rank amateur!

There was a story on the news a few years back about a person who found bags of entry letters in a ditch on the side of the road. PCH claimed they had no idea how they got there.

I didn't win anything, but I won!
It must be real; they have a Post Office box!
No!

... and I've only spent a small fortune in postage stamps for no return!
... so they tell me!

And I've helped PHC make a fortune selling a list of addresses of gullible people!

Ever since i wrote to them and told them it was a scam i don't get them anymore. Seriously i got one and you had to have it in by the next day. No mark on the outer envelope to tell when it was sent either. I suspect most people wouldn't have seen the date it had to be in because it was in tiny print in an obscure place.

Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much. My wife, trusting soul that she is, has been responding to these solicitations for at least 25 years, and now we're getting at least 3 letters from PCH per week. I told her to, fachrisake, buy a house dress, but that's not gonna happen. At least we're doing our part to support the USPS.
