Had a bit of fun moving the engine 7 inches back to create an exposed rear wheel, fat boy tyre on double wide rim. had to re think the shock to ensure minimal movement and compensate with some bum springs on a diy bobber seat. settled on a dirt bike shock set to rigid. auto scoot front end, lovely suspension, 2 different size tyre, no significant difference to handling. also lowered rear end a few inches. boost bottle makes no obvious difference to speed but smoother acceleration. I really enjoyed reading on this site about big tyres. I had a dilemma as you will see but i got it in. Amazing what you can do with a grinder and welder. IOW Rally this year, apart from wobbly drops as i hadnt used lock tight on the bolts - its all groovy.

American chopper should do a scoot like this but it'd be too damn much work for them. Besides they farm almost everything out anyway, except for the initial fabrication & assembly. Nice scoot post more pics as progress continues.

I love the bigger tire in the back. I'm not usually a fan of rat bikes, but I'm really glad I watched this, because that bike is SO cool. Really diggin' what you did with the engine cowl, too.
