That helps.

It looks like I should make a spark arrestor, too.

If I start the neighborhood on fire, they'll probably want to share my pizza.

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations regarding a *small* built-it-yourself outdoor brick oven that could make decent pizza?

Yikes-a-hootie, that looks just about right. Thanks.

I can work out the dimensions from the sizes of the bricks, of which I probably have more than enough from one of my chimneys which had to be shortened due to lightning damage some years ago.

At first I thought the front of the oven was a chimney, but it looks like it's decorative. I'll have to research that. Chimney or not? Ideas?

Seems to me whatever you do, don't get too serious!

That will not be an issue with me.

Thanks.

Interesting to see this thread....we just picked up an Ooni Fyra a few weeks back. Its FANTASTIC! Runs on wood pellets and cooks a 12 pizza in 60 seconds. Make your own dough, sauce and add whatever toppings youd like.

Highly recommended!

In Italy there are many pizzerias nearby that it is more practical to go and have it done, i too did it myself with a self-built reverberation oven but then it became tiring and making two and three only was not worth it ...

But the pellets fumes must not be in contact with the food, i hope.

Well, the pellets are 100% wood (Im using oak). Smoke is carcinogenic, but given its not being cooked low and slow I think the risk is a lot lower than a piece of BBQ or even something seared over charcoal.

Sorry for the observation but I also care about the health of other people.
