So happy the damage isn't that bad! Remember, "character". Sounds like the hubby won't be sleeping on the couch tonight.

Skyped with one of my girlfriends to plan her visit in a couple of weeks. Going to get to spend almost a week with her before she goes off to Mongolia for two years with the peace corps. So bittersweet.

[NSR] What's Pissing you off Today?
I'm seriously not a winter person. Sorry.

So in the spirit of this thread...

My wife, a bookseller on Amazon since 2005, told me that not long before midnight yesterday, a book purchase broke her monthly record, by one book.

We're off to the food court to celebrate.

Insurance is being fairly reasonable and I'm on the mend from the accident last week. It's looking like the weekend will be sunny. And I just started my first gardening experiment a few days ago and have tomatoes in starter pots that are already growing. And it's Friday!!!

You are right, I did not clean it before putting it away in the fall. Seafoam did the trick though!

My family has been with me since Tuesday helping me recover since outpatient foot surgery. My mom spent all day at the hospital waiting, waiting, waiting. My brother spent Tuesday and Wednesday night with me and my sister is now here to help through Sunday. All done with no complaining and this has taken a lot off of my mom, her not having to do the fetch this and that. Hopefully next week p, when my mom stays, it will be mostly as company and just to be sure I'm okay.

Absolutely! My dog is high maintenance so even with me trying to not need too much, they work plenty hard walking, feeding, watering, and keeping fresh pee pads down for him.

...thanks for the healing wishes!

Tonight, several of my good friends are having a dinner party in my honor to celebrate the end of nine weeks of radiation treatment for prostate cancer.

I feel a little guilty because the treatments were very easy, fast, painless and problem free. But I am very glad that they are over. And glad to have such nice friends.

And it turns out to be the birthday of the friend whose house is the location of the party. She is a champ. We will celebrate her birthday, too.

It is a happy day!

Oh, and Friday too...with a group ride tomorrow.

And the weather looks great!

^Lots of good reasons to rejoice....Cheers.

I got a call from our local Harley dealer who offered to look at my 1962 Vbb She is up and running like a charm. After two years of collecting dust. Just as I suspected, bad oil/gas messed up the tank and carb.

Looking forward to a spring ride, if spring ever actually comes.

This week I built a raised-bed vegetable garden, installed a drip-watering system, and got it mostly planted. I have grown veggies and herbs before, but this is the first honest-to-goodness dedicated garden I have made. So far it looks great.

Happy.

It's still far too early in Penn's Woods, and far too cold.

Still,

It was nice enough to take a long walk with my best doggie pal. I was happy to get outdoors and see a bit of scenery, and Finnegan was happy to stop and sniff where every other dog has done something the whole previous winter.

Dogs are weird like that.

But we're still best buddies.

I met my wife on the 20th March 1997. We dated for 9 days then got married (In Vegas).

Both of our families lost their minds, they thought we lost ours.

Today is our 16th wedding anniversary.

Cheers

Judy, we will be in England for two weeks in July. We are very excited!

Luckily or thankfully, my wife and I are at a good place in our lives where we can travel and, like you, we truly enjoy seeing the world.

Also back in the saddle, but oh, the sand is really thick this year. Turns and cornering are toned down appreciably. But it still great riding. K58's shine in this world.
