It is so frustrating trying to find a good set of tires for the LX that are the same brand and type front and rear. I need a rear tire now. The front has plenty of thread but the age of the OE tires is past prime, so I want to replace both.

Get heidenau. I have a 61 on front and a 62 rear. Rear has over 4-5k and still going strong

I am trying. I sent an email to them and never heard back.

rear tire lx
try revzilla.com For the S150, they shipped a Heidenau K61 120/70 -10 with a price of $62 in November 2012 Quick service.

Thank you! I just ordered K61's for both front and rear! Strange that they show free freight, but then add on $10 shipping fee.

Still, $135 on my doorstep is great!

I have never seen the same Heidenau tread pattern for both the 10 and 11 inch tires. I was looking for K62 front and K58 rear, which many here have recommended. They weren't available. The K61 looks like the same tread pattern that the original tires have, so that is OK.

For others reading this - the Michelin City Grip is now available in 120/70-10 size. At last some better longevity!

Just as well, remember K58's are probably the low mileage leader and, sensibly, only recommended with caveats.

I have an LX 150 and I've noticed that the rear tire is getting a little worn too. Should I change them both out? I want to get those Michelin City Grips (heard good things) but I'm not sure of what sizes I would need for either tires. Would the dealership change them for me?

Unless your front is worn like the rear or it is old, like 5+ years old, and not damaged in another way there is no reason to change both tires.

Of course unless you just want to match.

PERK if the original tire is on the front i'd change it out. Rubber degrades over time and it's now 6yrs old. Better to be safe than sorry IMHO. Keep it as a spare. Can't see the microscopic bits so it's hard to tell when it's degrading. NIGHT don't think you'd want a 58 on there. I got mine at the scooter shop. I like the 62 on the rear. We get a lot of red dirt, that, when wet is like ice and sand on the roads here. The 62 gives me a bit more traction. I really do like the Heidenaus.
