Hey Guys,
Recently, I've been working on a method to "work-bench" test 6V AC type scoot horns. It seems I've been successful.
An electronic savvy mate suggested I look for an AC step-down transformer capable of producing about 6Vs AC @ 3-4 amps. I found such an animal at Radio Shack for $12.00. P/N 273-1511B. An AC transformer capable of 12Vs @ 3 amps. By only using one leg (yellow & black) the output is 6V AC. I tried it and "wah-lah!" The horn sounds like someone stepped on a ducks tail.
Now I don't have to install and un-install to test the effectiveness of any work.
