found this on another scooter forum ...was wondering why some MP3 front lights were so different with some models... so is this photo showing which is which name brand or is it just naming the different types.

Does this mean the fuoco model has more Italian in it lol than the MP3 - is its cousin... the MP3 in America... jk

I been doing my family roots lately... can ya tell.

Back on topic....
Im keeping the online shopping links updated here-when I see someone post suggestions where they shop online for parts/supplies for MP3...

also vespa sherman oaks are a sponsor

from what it sounds like its not that much with the mp3 250, just a few cosmetics and some of those like the turn signals can be had aftermarket suppliers.
Also have a look around ebay, maybe some deals on plastic parts as well.

Someone brought him a MP3 250 in yesterday in his shop- thats near death..missing so much like I told em I bet its not worth fixing... mirrors, both front blinkers, one front fender missing and one almost ripped off--- just to mention a few parts. Not sure what happened to the MP3 but my heart hurt just looking at how neglected/abused the baby musta been ...

I gave Jerry these website links- thanks to Funky and OAD. Is there a modervespa sponsor page somewhere here with links their sponsor pages??

Anyone else use online sites you would recommend from USA people ...to shop online- for MP3s parts.

Scooterwest.com
Motorcycle-Superstore.com
AF1.com
Two more to consider.
SIP has a pretty good arrangement on Shipping to the US, very Reasonable. Love there Catalogs with illustrations, and color photo's.

Scooter Parts Company - http://scooterpartsco.com/

SIP Scooter Shop - http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/main/base/home.aspx

How I Buy...

My Local Dealer used to be my preference to provide Support for them to keep the doors open for Service, etc...
But as of late, there prices are way higher then List Price.
They uses to be within a few bucks either way, and I would buy from them and pay the local Tax and pick the parts up from them.

Now...

I typically send an email out to my two local Dealers for a quote giving them the part numbers.
Then I search the Online Dealers, and evaluate the best place to buy from for the specific parts I am looking for.

OEM Replacement parts typically go to AF1 Racing as long as I am buying at the $139.00 or Greater Level to get Free Shipping.
I won't pay for shipping, so I will keep the items in my Cart until I need more items then make the purchase. I will also ask around to my friends on FB to see if they need any parts, and order what they need to get the Free Shipping, and they pay me for the parts they wanted.
I keep a lot of spare MP3/250 parts since I have two of them. Most if not all of the Engine parts on the MP3/250 are interchangeable with my GTS/300 so it makes things easy. I also often come across deals on ebay where I will contact the seller and find it may be a Dealer that is going out of business, and make them offer for everything they have.

STOP, get a NGK spark plug please, those chumpions are good for lawnmowers.

CR7 EKB or a CR7 EIXB any motorcycle shop can get them, also amazon has them and most motorcycle accessory online shops too.

You need 2 for a MP3 500.

edit: please when installing the new plugs hand thread them in at least half way before putting the socket back on them. this way your totally good and not cross threaded.

A few on ebay... Be careful of the ones that say "Bent".
Be sure and look-up the Part number (AF1 Racing Catalogs), and search for the Best New Price.

You will find some of the Used Prices are "ridiculously high" where you can buy New vs Used for a few bucks more. Just make sure you are getting a "Fair Deal"...

Here is another to add. http://www.psntuning.co.uk/

I know they are UK but I have ordered parts from them before and even when shipping is added the parts were still cheaper than what I could find here. Most notably was my last belt though that is at an end now as price + shipping is about the same.

PS You don't pay the VAT that the UK folks have to pay.

I would believe that online parts for the MP3, should be listed in the Wiki for our scoot. Just a thought.

suggest you look into the NGK, Laser Iridium CR8EIB-10 (4948) plug.

AutoZone carries it, some times O'Rielly has them.

When I tried these, I noticed better MPG and HP. I wouldn't use anything else.

I am quite surprised http://www.easyparts.nl was not mentioned earlier. While I do not know their shipping charges to US, it is worth to check diagrams and part numbers, and compare prices too - they sell all MP3 parts.

Don't forget Amazon.com, they have had the best prices I have found on these NGK Plugs as well as the CR8EKB.

While Revzilla is does not have scooter parts, they do carry some after market items that are compatible. They also carry Akrapovic Scooter Exhausts.

But the best thing about them is their gear reviews. Of all the gear review I've seen, their videos are the best in my opinion.

There are already some links for specific items contained on the Main description pages of most of the MP3 models. The problem with creating a wiki page full of links is they have to be maintained as they can change or disappear periodically.

That said if someone wants to create such a page in the wiki go for it. Just read the tutorial first. The wiki is there for everyone to use and add to.
