I swap my decals out regularly. It's become a hobby in itself.

I like variety and have a steel bodied scooter. I put stickers on magnets. Nothing is permanent and I can change it at will. I've got just one on at the moment. It conveniently covers the bolt holes for my rear rack.

OH MY! You two have just given me a FANTASTIC idea, opening up a whole realm of possibilities.

Do you buy magnet sheeting with adhesive already on it? Is it better if the sheeting is thick, or thin? Do you have any hints other than a super sharp knife?

I use magnetic sheets with an adhesive side from hobby/craft stores. Not that I need double the adhesion, it's what I can get.
I use the thin sheet and use scissors to trim mine.

Note: I wipe the back of the decal/magnet when I wash my bike to prevent scratching

All the things almost all of you knew already...

... so don't laugh at me.

Put some dishwashing soap on a wet sponge or towel and apply it
on the place where you are going to put the sticker (decal?).
After applying it you can still move it in the right position and when
you are bored with it, even after years, you can very easily remove it.

I really like the stickers (decals) that you have. Identity...
They are in a way like tattoes but then different
