It was a first for me when I saw a GTS300 in Gent (Belgium) with unusual tyre tread patterns and saw that it was fitted with MCG Winter tyres.
In a cobbled city, with tram tracks everywhere, I can see the reason why they might make sense, but I thought it was worth mentioning as I never knew these tyres even existed (I've never seen them in the UK).

My dealer told me about these tyres last winter.
Supposedly they can be used all year round, with better grip in winter and in summer they should be comparable to normal city grips.

Not needing new tyres at that time, I can only tell you whatever my dealer told me. (Thus not from personal experience)

I have the Metzelers and they are so much better than the CityGrips I've had before. The Michelins were 16 months old and had been on the Vespa for 10,000 km when I bought it. Rode another 1,000 km slipping all over the place. I still have to test the Metzelers in winter, but so far, they are the best tyres I've had.

I've seen the 'winter compound' MCGs mentioned on the UK GTS Owners Club Facebook page, so yes they do exist and some UK owners must have seen them. They're on the UK Michelin site on a GTS...very different grip pattern.

I saw these tyres at a rally in Hauho last weekend.
This PX had a Michelin City Grip Winter tyre in front.
