Nice find! Did you rent scooters and brave the Roman traffic?

I think watching Roman Holiday on TV as a child was probably first my introduction to scooters. I can't remember anything about the movie now apart from the scooter ride - I guess what I liked about the movie best was the scooter!

Me and my wife also went to Bici-Baci while we were in Rome. They were fantastic to work with. We ended up renting a GTS250 and scooting around Frascati wine country. Getting into and out of the city is a bit crazy, but once you are out (about 15 minutes) it is some of the best riding I have ever seen.

They provided great directions and helped point us in the direction of some great sites. We ended up hitting a small "beach town", an amazing family run winery, the Pope's residence, and a bunch of other small stops.

If you are ever in Rome, I would recommend checking them out. The museum is free, so even if you don't plan on renting a scooter, its worth a stop.

Just an update....the museum is still there
And it is still free. I went there today, the vintage bikes in the basement are very cool. They also have a lot of Vespa souvenirs, shirts, keychains, coffee mugs, etc.

The shop is just 2 blocks from the Colliseo.

The rental bikes all have unique, fun paint jobs, see the photo.

These are some of the rental bikes in the shop upstairs from the museum.

Can someone post the address? SHWIMBO (SHe Whom I Must Be Obeying) and I, will be traveling and scooting around Amalfi in August. We will have a car in our second week, so it would be fun to go to Rome and check it out. Thank you.

I rented a scooter from them a few weeks before they had the museum ready. Hopefully the addresses and phone numbers haven't changed.
The circled entry is where I picked up my scooter. I think, but am not sure, that the museum is at the other address.

I used them for a Vespa tour around Rome 4 years ago. It's the best thing I've done by far in Rome.

I live just south of Rome now, but I plan on doing it again soon.
