Saw an ad on this site for a company called "Plate Puller" and clicked it. Ended up ordering their original (silver) plate frame. Got it in the mail yesterday and have to say I am very impressed: super high quality and made in the USA. Comes with mounting hardware as well - with nylock nuts. No more cheap plastic frames that will crack over time due to the vibrations of my tuned motor and Clauss bushings. No more cracked license plate either.

In reality, it's designed to make pulling out your plate a simple task - just slide it out through the slot on the side. Supposedly for "security reasons" so it doesn't get stolen if you leave your bike out in public for any length of time. But if you order a couple of these you could plate that untitled bike in your garage in a matter of seconds - if you catch my drift - instead of using velcro or manually bolting/unbolting.

Just passing on a product review. Hope it helps!

Fits any standard US (and Canada) motorcycle plate. Unless your state/province uses some other dimensions.

Good clearance from frame - won't bend.

Those are awesome.. I have them on 3 of my bikes.. I need 2 more.. they're great..

.... especially when I needed to "borrow" a plate from one bike to ride on another that hadn't been registered.. (I know.. bad idea... but I've since gone legal) *for the most part!

not cheap though.. but still well made and handy

Yeah, I might be betting that the local cops can't tell the difference between a Stella & a VBB at this very moment...

I don't think I'd have the balls to swap plates. Not worried about the cops as they'd have no idea but insurance companies would love not to pay up after an accident.

i have two bikes i've never registerred. i just use my p2 plates on both an et4 and a stella because cops dont know better. i've seen those platepuller ads as of late and love the idea but at 65 usd, im not so sure. i'd rather stick with my weatherproof extra strength velcro for the price of free ninety-nine.
