ModernVespa, along with Steve Williams' Scooter in Sticks, were fonts of information and inspiration that gave me the kick I needed to fulfill a lifelong wish for a Vespa.

I'm on to Vespa #2, a successful moto blog, and more incredible adventures and lasting friendships than I would have ever thought possible.

Thanks to Jess and every single moderator for providing a superb resource.

Happy Birthday!!

I've been here for eight of those years. I discovered MV while looking for a write-up on the scooter I was thinking of buying. I found Jess's review of the MP3 250 and haven't looked back.

Congratulations, Jess, and muchisimas gracias to all the moderators past and present for making this such an enjoyable place to hang out.

Nothing else like it in the world. You tend to think it just, you know, exists, but all the work is apparent once you take a second to actually consider what's really going on here. Thank you Jess and moderators.

Indeed! Just coming up to nine years since I joined and the 2010 Bella Italia Rally was wonderful.

As a member since '09, and a participant in several VCdM rallies, I too wish to express my thanks and best wishes to Jess and the moderators! I have met several MV folk in the last 6 years, and I must say the forum has been a useful font of information, a source of entertainment, and a great way to keep up with the scooter community, especially in the cold not-so-frequent-riding months! Here's to another decade and beyond!

Yeah man, was thinking about that this morning.

Pretty crazy. Scotch is a good solution.

Happy Birthday to Modern Vespa and the people who have made this forum the rich and valuable place it is. Since November of 2005 it has been the place I come to refuel my Vespa lust, get my Vespa fix, and have all my questions, existential or otherwise answered. There were times when I even got phone support on sticky technical questions.

Bravo and thanks for everything Modern Vespa!

Steve hope your having fun. I miss PDX. She gave me my toaster avatar. I will always remember her with kindness. If you happen to see her tell her hello for me. I miss a lot of people but ya know, there replaced with other nice people. To me MV is like going home. Your surrounded by everything good.

As I am sure others have I found MV quite by accident while researching the MP3. Being a motorcycle guy I was only peripherally aware of scooters and was fascinated reading posts here from so many scooter enthusiasts from around the world. Nearly everything I know about scooters and scootering has been from the threads here.

MV has also facilitated me in meeting many great people and forming friendships that would never have happened otherwise. This may be the single biggest gift MV has given me.

Words (at least mine) really don't describe the enormous impact MV has had on me so happy birthday MV, thank you Jess, thanks to the other moderators who keep the place mostly clean and thanks to the members here whose knowledge, wit and even bullshit drive this forum.
