Cruising to work last week (20k/12 whatever the non-metricated use to measure) and all of a sudden, no power. Pet Carrier out - mmmm plug lead fallen of - pushed back on - good as gold - till next stop (first work campus) then same again - several times.

On way home - no show at all - noticed the cap off the plug is missing - so ask Missus to bring some plugs along - screw new cap - lead will not reattach.

MMMM

AHA - hair band - that did fix for a week.

got to it today, and found that the cap was still in the lead - pull it out - has no thread (and it was "pull"- it was stuck in there) - new cap - lead "clicks" back on.

I have heard of leads falling off, but never have I seen a cap off a plug loose its thread!

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Many have had this issue with GTS's. It has happened to Lostboater several times. And Tupelosue missed a Cannonball day when hers came off.

The diagnosis by ScooterWest is that the stock lead is slightly too short, putting stress on the plug cap. They now sell a longer lead that should fix the problem.
