Sidecar photo taken near Seattle in 1919. Dogwood blossoms in the back. (helmets? we didn't need no stinkin' helmets)

My Mom. A pic from many years back, on my father's motorcycle. She passed away this May, and I think she'd get a real kick out of having this posted.

Looking good, just hope she didn't ride bare foot! those pipes might get a little hot!

The biggest reason myself and my brother got our start on motorcycles back it the sixties was our mom taking about taking rides on her brothers Indian. Well the stories about dad doing motorcycle escort duty in the southern states before getting shipped over to Germany in the 40's didn't hurt either! Mom did say in her later years that it might not have been the best idea to sneak rides on that Indian as her brother was bar hopping. Might be why Grandma was not too happy about those rides!

One of the best memories of my mom is when I took her for a ride in my sidecar about a year before she passed, she made it a point to tell all her friends about it and smiled all the time.

A Thursday pic... The woman's dress in back looks like it could be long enough to be a hazard...

Well this one is not a scooter but as I mentioned back a bit I got to take someone for a ride a few years back in my sidecar.

Not sure she would want to be called "respectable" but if there had been a Vespa available I'm sure she would have tried getting a ride on it.

After two weeks of scooting through Italy, the flight home was a long one. But it was made great when one option for movie viewing was Roman Holiday! So I watched it, parts of it twice. It was a perfect ending for a perfect vacation.

The movie introduced Audrey Hepburn. What a beauty.

A lot of old Harley iron has made its way over to Tokyo. This is a late 60s era Shovelhead.

In a city like NYC where the law of large numbers favors that you are likely to see more people who are pleasantly pleasing to the eye than anywhere else, yet it is rare to see a lady on a Vespa, the few I have seen in Brooklyn are hidden behind helmets and therefore I have been unable to capture any pictures worth sharing out here.
Maybe many of the pictures are staged and that I haven't managed to accomplish...
