had a bit of a nightmare, couldn't fit the steering lock up through the frame, after ordering a new bearing race, found out the one pressed into the frame was the wrong one, so knocked it out and using the forks & old race managed to fit the proper one & get the forks in. it ended up a lot easier than I thought & didn't even scratch the paint, a job, I thought would be a nightmare especially with a painted frame.

nightmare part 2, steering lock stop on the bottom of the forks snapped off, rendering it useless, headlight hitting the leg shield. So after trying Belzona (twice) with no great success, tried JB Weld which seems to have worked, but each time I try something it more or less takes 48hrs before I can offer it up to the frame, with a bit of luck & another 24hr wait Im hoping to get the front end back in & finish up the scooter, just need to connect all the wires & cables and it should be ready for a test ride up & down the street. The scooter turns over fine & the brake light works, so don't see any other problems.

na, never had a trophy scooter in my life & aint starting now, all be it, it will be a fair weather scooter, which is a laugh living on the west coast of scotland. I have 6/800 miles of running in to enjoy.

done a few miles, but usual teething problems with the carburettor & constant checking on all the nuts & bolts, running this in properly & double checking everything as you always overlook something during the build, but at 600 mile running in period a little time consuming and not to comfortable, with the impatient arseholes, but so far I think everything is ok.

Vespa GS150

out & about, running the engine in, done around 200 miles, unfortunately the twin exhaust pipes cracked due to the weight, I thought they would as they were 2mm thick, so need thinner material and a couple of supports, but so far engine is running great & with the kingwelle crank having a top end bearing, the 2t only needs 4%.

Absolutely drool worthy. Unbelievable. You have set an awfully high bar.

The only thing I sort of don't like are the handles. I would prefer the original style off white type ones, but I do like the blue color of yours.

whew.
