The pigs are so bad that they're good. I'd rock it as is, but I can understand your reluctance

Don't have a problem with what people make of me or my scoot just don't think that the artwork is that good anyway I have decided to run it as is, stereo and all. 1985 here we come.

Don't know what part of Kent you're from but Atoms (Maidstone) might be able to help with the brake set up.

Slowley slowley
Dropped the forks for a rebuild, all the grease that was used in the 90s has dried out. Lucky I did, the front hub was assembled in the wrong order with the middle washer and circlip missing.

Bent fork
Bent fork now stripped out and front end rebuilt for the second time, spare fork had to be sanded back and painted I also cut off the PX muddy mount as this has a shorter T5 muddy.

Front end now has swapped out repainted fork, repainted hub with a missing wheel stud replaced, repainted calliper mount, all new hub, fork bearings, nuts and bolts, a new break hose, new strut and a new wheel and tyre.

On order are a speedo drive, speedo cable and a sip caliper.

I think you need a spacer on top of the rear shock. Aftermarket shocks are shorter and always require a spacer. Frame looks to be sitting very low at the back...

I seem to be doing every thing twice on this scoot.

Fitted the rear brake only to find a T5 set up is different from a PX, Ordered the correct cable and adjuster, wrong part was delivered. Easy work around though, nuts to replace the adjuster. I removed the brake pedal to modify it and fit the correct cable and noticed fresh oil all over the back of the engine.

I had swapped the carb for a new but non autolube one 3 years ago to test run the engine, removed the pump to fit it but left the shaft in with the intention of refiting the autolube. The shaft was pulling oil up from the gearbox and dumping it on the engine. As i have removed the oil tank the carb, box and shaft have came out ready for a blanking plug to be fitted.

On the upside its great to get back into putting this scoot together, I have decided to get this on the road MOT Tax etc. and use a bit, sort of build and shake down then its coming apart for a respray in either Ford Focus ST or Mini Cooper Grey with some engine and suspension upgrades going to go for a toned down street racer look.
