Did you install the new bulbs? Razz emoticon

Ahem...

Sorry.... Could be a relay or fuse.

You did install the new bulbs, right?

So I replaced both bulbs with fingers crossed.... my luck nothing
I metered the turn signals and of course nothing
I checked the fuses and they seem to be all fine.
Any other ideas before it hits the shop?

Check the ground wire for actual continuity to the frame.

Did this issue get noticed after any "Mods" ?
Did you install higher wattage indicator bulbs, I think the limit is 10 Watts.
Back track what was done.

If not, it sounds to me that you have a Bad Turn Indicator Module.
I know on the MP3/250 and MP3/400 models it is on the Rider's Left Rear, above the Air Filter near the white Alarm Plug / Seat Actuator.

No new anything. I just like to check them every few weeks just to make sure. Headlight, taillights, brakelights, front turn signals everything else works fine. Under the seat at the back I can see a module of some sort and lots of wires. I will probably take it in and get it done I don't even know what a turn indicator module is tbh. I have a brakelight module under the seat so the brake lights and rear turn signals flash when braking but that's been on for years.

I will look again tomorrow.

If the front turn signals work then the flasher module is working just fine.

You say you have a brakelight module - does that still flash the rear turn signals? That's not a standard fitment, so perhaps the wiring associated with that has gone wonky.

Well I didn't install the brakelight module. When working the rear turn signals flash when braking. I will talk to the shop about that as well.

Yea I was thinking the same, I forgot to ask if it was just the rear or just the front not working. I know from my experience with my MP3/250's, you exceed to wattage on replacement bulbs you can kiss that blinker module good bye...

The fronts work fine. The rear are the only ones not working. I found out yesterday that the brakelight module was installed in 2009. Who knows but hopefully it won't cost me an arm and a leg lol.

I'm trying to get my head around this - are you saying that both rear turn signals flashed when the brake light flashed? If so, get it re-wired anyway, as that's an absolute danger, as it would mask an actual turn signal indication.

Hmmm, I wonder if the previous owner installed a "BackOff" Module and wired it wrong? The Brakes don't blink stock. Mine do, but I have the Module installed correctly, with high-Output LED replacement bulb.

Possibly I hope that is all that is the problem. That would make me happy lol. Don't want it to be a big issue that costs big $.

There is a Turn Indicator Module on ebay right now.
You should buy it and try a swap test.

I have it in my watch list to buy, but I think you should get it.
I was going to buy it for a spare part.

You can see the wattage limitations printed on the module.

I wonder if it is the same as the 2009 MP3 500 though?

Looks like it. However, if your front signals are working, this unit is NOT at fault.

Put the wiring back to standard!

It is the same part for the 250/400/500.
For $13.00 what the Hell...
You eliminate that as the problem.
It sells new way more then that, and since your concern is shipping, not an issue here.
