The genuine 2017 models have some marked differences, some good (side stand) others debatable (front suspension and remote locking for the glovebox), some bad (the tool kit follows the seat rain cover into history). And new colours, obviously.
Maybe the U.S. distributor wants to clear his unsold 2016 inventory before bringing the new models in? http://www.scooterlab.uk/new-vespa-gts-lands-news/ |

Just give a carbed bike without all the bells and whistles. Not as much to go wrong and we don't have a good dealer, which makes it worse. That said i love the tire pressure monitoring system that i put on the LX. Easy to do and it's within 1 or 2 PSI . I still check the PSI manually to make sure tho. Not as frequently. Getting to the valve stems on the LX is a real PIA so it's worth the money.

Personally, if I wanted a GTS/ABS I'd run out and buy a 2016 while they are still available. I have been completely pleased with my 2015 ABS. I see nothing coming in 2017 that is worth waiting for.

for the 2017 USA, some new colors, and one trim level later in the season. No engine changes or chassis changes. USA scoots never got a sidestand as standard. We have a 2017 GTS Super here, and we can confirm it still has a toolkit, but it does appear that the rain cover for the seat is gone. We did not get the Euro 4 model

Hi, I just joined the Forum since I bought a new Vespa GTS 300 ABS.
I have to say I love my new scooter but some things I do not understand from Vespa. Like simon64ds already wrote the new Vespa GTS 300 does not come with a toolkit and seat cover, personally I don't think that should be so pricey for Vespa to have those still included... Further I really enjoy the scooter it's nothing short of wonderful and handles like a dream also the ABS brakes are perfect. One other thing that surprised me is that my dealer has trouble ordering the correct Vespa alarm for the bike ... he already ordered one 2 times but told me it's not the correct one (wrong connector or some thing). It seems the 2017 GTS has some different wiring and connectors. I will see when he comes back to me for the 3rd appointment to build the alarm in.. |

Yes, because they are, essentially, left over 2016 models. So you guys can look forward to o losing the ESS (and toolkit) sometime in 2018.
Be very interesting to see what front suspension is on the Touring model, when it arrives in the US later this year, as that should be the first one you get with the revised set up. |

2017 USA GTS still have the ESS front end.
Not sure why they are going away from it in Europe. We've never had a warranty claim on the new ESS front end, and in our opinion works so much better.

AMA it's a TireGuard. Got mine from Amazon a while back. Wasn't cheap $149 but it's accurate (within 1 or 2 PSI when using a manual tire gauge). The rear tire has no room to get a accurate reading (especially with my RA in my hands) so that's why i bought it. Here's a pic of the one i got.
