IIRC, it was in early July, believe 6-9 or thereabouts.

Sadly for me I think it's a bit out of my perimeter of reasonableness. But you never know.

Guess you need to know so you can schedule the 2017 Hertford Scooter Rally, eh?

P.S. Maybe I heard wrong...the Amerivespa FB just stated June 6-9, but that's mid-week. Well, it's a whole year away, anyway...

If you know me and plan to ride - msg me. I project an easy 4 days up, 3 if rushed. I am seldom rushed.

Yes, thankfully. Some of us are a bit older and can enjoy the ride at a slower pace, or same pace but more leisurely route.

People wanting to avoid I-5 from Portland to Seattle should check out the route the STP bike ride uses:

https://www.cascade.org/ride-major-rides-group-health-stp-about-ride/route

I'll be doing a couple rides down to Oregon and back exploring other routes soon. I'll share details when I do.

I just drove this route (No I-5) on the way up to the Seattle area for a work trip. The roads were in good condition, deserted, and scenic. There's plenty of stops for gas/bathroom breaks/snacks in the small towns and enough roadside oddities for entertainment along the way.

By the way, we've since secured a location, host hotel is Hotel Deca which is right in the heart of the University District in Seattle.

They had BOGO registration on Cyber Monday. it is $65 ea for registration.
Hotel Deca in the U District in seattle is where you will stay if you want the group discount. We are all set. Scooting we hope the 2-3 hours to the Hotel on a couple of bikes from the list in my signature. Probably the 1975 and the 1983. Really looking forward to meeting some of the MV crowd!!!

Don't forget that this year, for the first time, we're offering a $5 discount on AV registration for VCOA members with current membership status.

* That $5 discount did not apply to Cyber Monday deals.

Seattle to Sacramento, anyone need transportation?
I am going to Amerivespa with a friend. His mother lives in the Seattle area and he would like to ride one of his motorcycles up to the rally and leave it at her house. If anyone is looking for an experienced rider to drive their scooter back from Seattle after the rally, this could be a good arrangement for him and you. It would need to be a larger freeway legal scooter. Just putting it out there. We plan to depart Seattle on the 9th and head back to Sacramento over about three days. Thanks!
