![]() I am talking about chance meeting during a ride, not scheduled meeting. So far, I haven't managed to bump into anyone riding a Piaggio MP3 yet, and I have done close to 1700 miles, mostly around Chicago
|
![]() 3 years of riding in the west Chicago area and I've seen only one so far. I can't wait to bump into my old one (250 cc) that has been sold by my dealer in Downers grove.
5 years in Nashville TN and I've seen 2 different ones... |

![]() Back in around 2009 shortly after I got my 250 I was in my driveway working on it and another 250 road right by my house. The house I lived in at the time was in a remote area so it was very odd to see this guy. Then a few years later I saw a 400 in the same neighborhood. Around that same time I was riding home one day and saw another 500 and managed to chase him down. I remember him because he claimed to have over 20,000 miles on his original belt! LOL never saw him again after.
And that's it in 9 years. |

![]() I see one almost everyday on my commute home for over a year now.
We wave if traffic permits. I do notice the rider decorates the bike for every holiday i.e. - green sparkle garland and a leprechaun cutout on the front grill. The rider also has a GoPro helmet mounted. I wonder if they ever think about meeting. |
![]() Back in Boston saw 4 or 5 over the years moved to sunny Fl and have only seen 1 in 5 years and that was in a dealership in Fort Lauderdale. It was a special model, a hybrid going to be sent to Isreal to be used as an ambulance

![]() I've had my Fuoco for almost 9 years and have only seen a handful of MP3's around Melbourne. Our Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) paramedics had a few kitted out for use in the congested traffic around the CBD for a couple of years, but they all seem to be retired now; haven't seen one in a few years. Otherwise I've seen two in the last 6 months, but none for a couple of years before that.

![]() It's rare these days...
I know about 5 New Ones were sold here in the Atlanta Area. 2 of them left when the purchaser moved. When I go for a Ride, typically up to the North Georgia Mountains or do the Telico Corners / Tail of the Dragon Loop. I have not ran into any for a while. I still get attacked at Gas Stations both by other Bikers or Cagers to ask "What the Hell is this thing?". Keith, Marietta, GA |

![]() Here in London I see mp3 every day.
Outside of London area they are much rarer. |
![]() 5 years @ 65000 miles
I saw one parked at a hospital parking lot and one in the back of a truck. Not a single one on the road. Most of the miles are in the Louisiana, Baton Rouge and Clinton area. |
![]() I've seen just one Piaggio MP3 in my many years/miles of touring. The owner was sitting on the MP3 overlooking the ocean at Topsail Beach, N.C.

![]() Next to zero fellow 2016 500 ABS/ASR's here in Toronto, Canada.
Maybe 20-30 250s and 2-3 early 500s, but very few modern 500s. These bikes are the "odd bunch" in Toronto. We have lots of low 'cc' Vespas/Piaggios and even more sub-150 'cc' Euro/Chinese bikes, but the big trend is electric or sub 100 cc (50 cc). The scourge of our city is the electric bikes ("DUI wheels" for people who have had DUI and can't drive). They are everywhere and are very unsafe because they are unlicensed because they have "pedals" and are considered bikes. No license = very unsafe drivers. |

![]() Wow, I guess I feel fortunate to have seen one in the wild a couple of years back. It was funny how we both waved vigorously to each other, and the other guy wanted me to pull into a gas station but I was in a hurry at the time.
Oh well. ![]() |
![]() My son and I both have MP3's; his is a 2009 500, mine is a 2008 400.
He lives in Kitchener ON and I live in a rural hamlet 30 minutes further north. I met a 400 owner by chance about 3 years ago in the nearby city of Cambridge, but aside from that, haven't seen any others in this area or on our tours farther out. Our excellent service is with Toronto Vespa when needed. |

Next year I'm going o step up to a higher CC bike for touring but will probably go with the BMW 650 scoot. But then again I may wind up buying something from Vespa Toronto West because of the service. |

![]() I've had MP3s for 9 years now and other than the 1 I bought from OAD can't remember seeing another 1(his 500) since in use. But 2 days ago on Rte. 66 where I live off of I saw 3 black Polaris Slingshots all in a row coming the other way.

![]() On further reflection, I did see a second one in Rockford, Illinois. Pretty sure it was Luthorhuss. Sort of hard to miss that bright orange....

![]() I saw 1 today!
In Lakeview neighborhood in Chicago, on Southport Ave 2 blocks north of Fullerton I think. It was parked. Same color as mine even! No rider in sight unfortunately!
I was on my way to get a haircut on my MP3. May be it's someone here? |

![]() I nice guy was waiting for me returning to my MP3 in a small town in North Yorks today.
We spoke for about 20 minutes. He was on an identical bike just one year newer. It's taken nearly 9 years of riding two MP3's to make a contact. Hope to see him on this site soon! ![]() |

![]() This morning I saw a 250 at the corner of Wilshire and Doheny in Beverly Hills. I had just parked mine down the street. I wanted to jump up and down and wave, but that would just have been silly.
![]() To give you an idea of what this corner is like, I just saw two Bentleys in a row followed by a Porsche Carrera. Maseratis are too common to be remarkable, and every other car is a BMW or an Audi. ![]() |

![]() Just saw my third in the wild, close to home.
Looked to be an auburn/burgundy sort of color MP3 400. Riding up Marsh Road in McFarland WI. You out there? ![]() |
![]() They must be multiplying.
I work in Bristol United Kingdom. Popped out for lunch yesterday day and saw two within 5 minutes. |
