I put a mud flap on my GT. You can see some pics of it here http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/vespadon@sbcglobal.net/detail?.dir=/e1a6&.dnm=63b7re2.jpg I covered the red and white with reflective tape, as you can see.

Thanks for that T'f!! Funnily enough, just changed that flap for a plain black one with the Piaggio symbol embossed on it... No pics yet!

Heres my old ET with a long flap.

Scoots,

That was a great looking ET4 and the GTS is looking pretty good too. I remember seeing that photo of your GTS specifically because of the mud flap and thought it looks pretty good on a modern scoot.

Thanks Tim..I'm REALLY wishing I hadn't sold the ET now...
Still, times change, and the mirrors and lights look was a real pain in the "arse" (TM...scoots. ) to keep clean....

I've ALWAYS had a mudflap...kinda my personal trademark.Must take a pic of the one that I melted on the hottest day in England ever,a few years back...

How is it to install a mudflap on a GT200?

I adapted a mudflap from Headland (a bicycle accessory company) and just bolted it on.

I always have to ask... where do you folks get these things?

If I ask my local Vespa dealer about any little bob or bangle they open up a catalog to order it. I don't get to see/pick among much of a selection.

Great place for ET4 gear...

Also, to prevent the 'burning mudflap' issue like Scoots shows in his pics, what I did was trim the top of the flap to make the whole thing shorter. Note in his pic there is a white strip of plastic with two holes for the license plate bolts, just trim this off and simply cut two new holes. It seemed to work for me.

A bunch of my fellow NYC scooter buds and I took a long ride out of Manhattan upstate to an town called New Paltz. On the ride, 2 hours by car, we hit a bunch of twistys and hills, my mudflap kept getting caught in my tire and burned it up! Simple modification and now my flaps are still flappin!

I think that design are JUST the right size for that! When I put the longer one on,it never happened, and the new one's about 2 inches shorter,so fingers crossed!!

Check out Beedspeed. http://www.beedspeed.com/

I ordered a black and white checked long mudflap from them a couple of weeks ago. It hasn't been delivered yet, but it should be soon.

They have other bits and bobs as well.

Solid Steel! Where've you been?!

Great looking flaps-- I've got the black St. Christopher flap; the Vespa dealer had them, but www.scooterworks.com has the best price I've seen.
