hi all,
I have a 2008 MP3 250cc which has an amber warning light over 20mph.
As I have a newer 300cc MP3 I need to sell the 250cc so do not want to spend a fortune at a main dealer to find and repair the fault.
It starts first time and never misses a beat when out on the road.
Any ideas of what it might be would be welcome.

Your voltage regulator has gone phut. To confirm, get a voltmeter and measure the battery voltage with the bike revving over 3000rpm. The voltage shouldn't rise above 14.8V. If you measure 17V or so then you need a new regulator, and possibly a new battery as the over-voltage kills them in double-quick time.
