Took the day off work today and went for a ride, up in the mountains. Weather's been good for the past 2 weeks and today we hit 29C. My beloved Yamaha, nature, 20Kms of twisty roads, an artificial dam and my batteries charged instantly...

Beautiful pictures! That's the right way to keep a battery charged.

Your Yamaha is a lot like mine, but newer. I got mine out last weekend, got as far as the local scooter dealer, and the battery went dead.

Glad you liked the photos. My Fazer is the S2. Bought it new in 2011. It was a 2009 stock (last production year in Europe) and got it at a really good price with new tires, original bigger windscreen and an original top box. Only downside the lack of ABS, but on our shitty, glass roads, having ABS is more dangerous...

Bike's battery was fine. My "batteries" weren't...

After the ride, both of us are on 100% charge...

As for the battery, FYI you can fit a bigger one. You just need two spacers and longer bolts to hold down the battery cover. I have the following battery in mine...

Thanks for the report! Still barely green here, so gives me something to look forward to.

That's why I replace mine every 3-4 years max.
