1778 p200e. All electrical works except the left, rear signal. Have power at the terminal strip where it splits to front and rear. How can I rewire the rear to the pin in the body?

Check the male contact on the pin of the cowl first to make sure it's intact and has continuity to the bulb base. If good, clean up the ground and contact by the bulb, and then on the tab that the manual latch hooks over.

If those are all good, use a volt meter to confirm voltage at the female end of the cowl pin contact. If nothing, remove the seat and fuel to get access to the wires and female contact. New female contacts can be bought from Scooterwest.

Thanks Ralley….the solder joint came apart inside the frame. It took me 2 days to find the "bush stud side panel", but I just ordered it

By the way, scooter west site doesn't show the female part....just the male part. Maybe they are shy.

Ken...yours is pristine. It also has nicer living quarters. Mine lives in a garage.

I had the same thing happen. All I did was to pull the copper wire thru and soldered a blob of solder and filed it into a domed shape. Works like a charm now.

Furnaceman....I had problems with the bushing staying in the frame. I cut off the wires on both sides and put a waterproof connecter on the ends. Now when I pull a cowl off there is enough wire to lay it on the ground or just disconnect it.
