I just finished up my latest project 2 weeks ago and have been having good fun on it. I found a clean 2006 250 GTS with only 700 miles and bought it with the goal of giving it a vintage look but with all the modern amenities. I did a number of things to give it some pop and make it fun:
1) Tri-tone paint job
2) Euro style air horn
3) Kicker 100 watt bluetooth system with a special mirror-mounted remote control.
4) Chrome front fork cover
5) Chrome belt cover
6) 946 rims that were stripped, polished and chromed. The plastic center caps were painted to match the body. Shinko 12" white walls front (120) and back (130)
7) Cheeky Seats seat cover with matching blue piping and stitching
Cuppini crash bar loaded with 32 LED lights and 30 mirrors. The lights are controlled by three toggle switches , each handling a different color (blue, yellow, white)
9) I found some 3" "fan badges" on Etsy for the front crash bar that had The Who, The Sex Pistols, etc that add to the fun look.

This is my first post to this group so I'd love to hear any comments.

Wow that would fit right in on Brighton sea front.

Youíve done a terrific job, I really appreciate this look. Iím not remotely a mod but this is classic mod and as it would have been then on a current scooter.

I go the other way as stripped back as possible.....even tried no mirrors but had to yield.

Mines the red one closest but youíll see a few mirrors beyond

I thought I'd add in one more pic here showing the scooter at night. It makes a bit of an impression when I pull up behind a car at a stoplight.

Fantastic! Now that brings back some memories. My Vespa 100 with 13 mirrors and 10 lights. But no way as cool as yours.

scooter looks great...not really a fan of all the lights and mirrors...seems like a lot of extra wind resistance but to each his own
