Hey All!

I'm trying to get a ride together on either the 7th or 8th. Start from West Sac and head up towards Lake Berryessa. Drop in at Berryessa Brew/Winery, for food and fluids.

I have a friend that works at Matchbook Winery and can set us up for a tasting/tour/discount if any one is interested.

Debating how we will get there. I was thinking of riding up the river into woodland then working our way over. Though we could always do that on the way back...

When I drove it in the cage with the family we went 80-505 and over through Winters. So far the other riders who've confirmed all have 300cc's, so shooting through Davis to head up might not be a bad idea.

PM me or call/text me and we can decide on a route. I haven't heard back from the Napa Valley Scooter crew yet so it might just be us on the East side of the mountains.

Hey guys,

With the Yolo county fire happening, I don't think this route I planned would be so wise to do.

Would you be interested in doing a foothills ride or some other area this weekend?

Change of plans:

We will be leaving the West Sac Area in the 8amish hour on July 7th. Jump over the causeway to connect up with dmpawley. We will then take non-freeway routes into Napa/Valley.

I've reached out to the Napa Valley Scooter Club to see about meeting up with them in Napa and possibly rolling around the valley some before we back track to West Sac.

Definitely a nice ride! We met up in Davis and would our way to Winters. The road was open so we made our way to the Monticello Dam and was pleasantly surprised by coming across Sctrlvr (sp?). He offered to join us and showed us the way to Gott’s in Napa. Lots of curves and turns. Beautiful scenery and good company. Thanks guys!

Napa ride
Darnit!

Wouldn't you know I was out of town (Olympia, Seattle, Port Washington,WA).

A few years ago, I took my GT 200 to Napa for the "Bottle Rock Music Festival". It was a great ride with all the twisty turns near the lake.

I used two lane state roads the whole way. I was tempted to take I-80 across the Yolo Bypass to Davis, but I wasn't that confident - especially with the GT 200 and my lack of experience. I have to admit that the twisty turns were both exciting and a bit frightening.

I didn't have a GPS at the time, so I wrote the route with a dry erase marker on the windshield. Guess where I learned to do that? Right! M.V.!

It would have been fun to try it again. I'm pretty sure my BV 350 would have owned it.

Sctlvr had a BV 350. He's a much more experienced rider than the rest of us. I love the look of Vespa's but we discussed the merits of many different scooters during lunch. I like the larger wheels on the BV. It has a bit more horsepower than my 300. Maybe he'll let me test ride it next time

I'm sure the group would love to recreate the ride. Possibly go further into Napa Valley next time.

The two of us from West Sacramento are trying to get together once a month for rides. I'd like to maybe go up into the Foothills on one of our next rides.

I'll let you know if we plan anything again!

Cool.
I'll be heading out for a ride on the weekend and am open to meeting if anyone wants to go.
