Yea, auto-correct, does need to be corrected at times! At least the one I use will let me "add to dictionary"!

Its just one of the problems with depending on technology! And yes, I used "its" where I should have used "it's" just to see if the auto-correct would "correct" me! It apparently has no problem with either one!

In all likelihood it's because it's is a word, just like its.

I have a serious love/hate relationship on with Apple, it gives great typos. Or to quote Rodney Dangerfield...

My move to Pennsylvania has been anything but smooth. We didn't really work out well with the rental house we chose it was a super super dumb, so I'm living with my father-in-law. He's a great guy, I really like him.

The problem is now I needed a storage place to store my belongings which were arriving on a truck in a few days. We found a great place that was in an old converted Macy's department store, and it was very nice. The only problem was I couldn't store my scooter there. With the inside storage they didn't want anything with gasoline or oil so no cars motorcycles or scooters. So I had to leave it behind a fence outside, overnight while I scrounged up a trailer to borrow.

This morning I went 35 miles to go get it, and had to tie it down and secure it well for my ride back into town. It did slide off the straps once, and slightly crinkled the front mud guard. No big deal it's already pre-dented.

Best thing is this afternoon, I found four Vespas in town and my wife already knew all the people who rode them and introduced me this evening. So I guess I'll have some riding partners.

Note to my transport friends, when you buy ratchet straps, look at the hooks. I got husky ones at lowes, and they had good hooks, I also have some green ines with crappy hooks. I'll post pics later.

Yes, but are you a complete asshole? Keep honing those skills and I'm sure you will get there! You see arranging the floral arrangement and donating to charity in Bitza's name set you back on the asshole scale. Keep working at it though and you'll get there! A man needs goals in life.

Mixed up a quantity of Bondo in preparation for giving our Westfalia a new coat of paint. Didn't put quite enough catalyst in, and had to dig/scrape all the not-quite-rock-hard muck out of myriad places this morning. In the process it also slightly softened some ancient paint and Bondo, which now has to be all re-covered in properly mixed stuff. RRPITA.

Unpacking after our trip overseas where I'd found some great Vespa mugs. One of them was broken, apparently not protected *quite* enough. I guess on the somewhat bright side I'd bought two to give one away.

Bummer that yours got broken. I'm sure the recipient of the unbroken Vespa mug will be well satisfied with the gift

Gosh, we've got a line out the door for the holiday gift exchange and nobody's even seen the mug.

My phone updated again today. The way it now operates is different in not a pleasant way.

The last time my phone updated I lost access to all my music stored on the SD card because they wanted me to buy it all again on iTunes.

I welcome security updates but I really hate the way they change things to make them "better". It never is.

The Harley dude who pulled onto the highway behind me, then tailgated me for a bit while I followed a group of cars, then decided he should pass me ON THE RIGHT in my lane to pretty much ride in front of me for a while before turning off. Got to admire his nice jacket patch that included his Marine Corps service.

At 87 it's hard to be too optimistic. Seems like she's out of hospital tomorrow, but I've never heard quite this degree of resignation in her voice. She's a tough one, so expecting her to have miles left, but I don't want to be missing ominous signals either.

Wife's family is 2000 miles away, so can't feel too sorry for myself.....
Wow, didn't know this. Hope she's around for many more years.

Doing much better this year, thanks, though my sister keeps reminder her she's on her way to assisted living. You want to tick off a tough old independent woman? Have to say her place, even though bigger, is better kept than our house....

Dealing with aging parents, or getting older ourselves, is not for the faint of heart.

I highly recommend the book "Being Mortal" by Dr Atul Gawande. A very thoughtful and thorough look at aging and making the most of it.

Basically it can be boiled down to this one sentence. Make decisions about life and lifestyle before changes are forced upon you by your health or other circumstances.

My condolences as well, it's a hard loss every time. The joy and unquestionable love they bring MORE than makes up for it though. We have 2 yorkies, one is 15 and will not be with us much longer. I am not looking forward to that day.
