After a week, we finally got some good riding in...

http://captnjim.blogspot.com/2018/09/set-your-watch-back.html

Riding in Texas Hill Country; we came across the Willow City Loop...

No destination in mind, we turned off the highway onto what we thought was a county road... it wasn't. In fact, in some places, it wasn't much of a road. It was a nice, slow change of pace from the 70mph speed limit highways around here. Well, it got a bit creepy at one point, but we had agreed that if the road turned ugly, we'd turn around... no matter how far we were into it.

Back on the highway...

I was able to give the new tires on the Vespa (Michelin City Grips) a pretty good workout... the definitely feel sportier than the original tires that were on there. The new ones have a rounder profile and appear to be a bit thicker and taller - I like 'em!

More rain predicted for tomorrow, so the scoots will get strapped down in the trailer; we may do some more exploring by car tomorrow, then hit the road for home on Wednesday. In the rain. (Sigh)

On the bright side, there was some blue sky today; warm and single-digit wind. A bit warmish with jackets on, but nice riding!

Where in the Hill Country are you Jim? Maybe we could hook up for some delishy-ous tacos or the like.

Hi JP - we are in Fredericksburg, but heading out early for home. It would be a treat to meet you next time we're in the area.

Please let me know the next time you're in the area.

Thanks, JP. We made it home late yesterday. Lots to get done to get moved back in, but the scoots are unstrapped and ready to ride... when I get some time.

That was our first time in Fredericksburg - we'll go back there again some time.
