My longest day was last Saturday when we drove through southwestern NH and VT for 110 miles, me on my GTS 250ie and my husband on his ‘81 Honda CX500. It was pretty sweet.

I made several trips to Danbury, CT from Deposit, NY two years ago. It was 150 miles each way. I stayed overnight in Danbury before returning.

Rode Albuquerque to Las Cruses about 240 one way. I found it to be extremely uncomfortable the inside of my thighs at around 200 miles felt like I was sitting on a plank of wood. That was the longest on the scooter, keeping trips below 120 miles is really more my comfort zone and have made several trips that distance.

You're lucky. The plank syndrome hits me at about 50 miles on the GTS.

Keeping your knees close together gives better support on long rides.

We have young 'ns at home so we try to limit our rides to less than an hour from home. On the superslab we might get 70ish miles out within an hour but I can't see any good reason to do that on the scoots. That gives us a max radius of about 50 miles to explore.

In the Phoenix valley the scooters are great for going through the metro areas but to get anywhere the freeway is the way to go and the scooters are just too slow for our freeways, you are lucky you have a larger bike as well as the scooter. Even though I often ride the freeways I never feel that comfortable so I am thinking seriously of getting a larger bike as well to expand my riding as I live in the the valley.

550 miles on my MP3-400 in one day. 365 miles non-stop on my BV200 with an extra gas tank about 7 hours straight. Came in 2nd place in the Lake Tahoe endurance race. 5 minutes behind a Honda Silverwing with a lot more cc's

517 miles on the Cannonball, with an added bonus of being broken down on the side of the road for an hour, flagging down other riders for a 19mm socket so I could redo my transmission, and 60+ miles of dirt-riding, including a good 5 of which were all out Jeep-trails...oh, and also getting caught in a massive thunder storm at 8,000 feet which flooded the roads and slowed traffic down to 5mph.

Best day of riding in my life!

Outside of Boulder, UT, and about to be utterly, utterly soaked. 2:00 PM, 250 miles down, 250 miles to go....

I left New Orleans and headed to Nashville, Tn. I was not planning on doing the entire 500 miles in one day but the closer I got to home the less I wanted to stop. The Majesty seat was pretty confortable the whole way.
I did a little over 300 miles in my GTS 250 and yes that seat is a plank by then.
Tony in Tn
PS Sbout 17 years ago I rode from 500 miles on a Vespa 150 from Dickson, Tn to Springfield, Mo. to pick up a truck I bought.

Decided to take a break at a possible overnight spot, but still felt good about riding, so we kept going. The only real regret was not taking more time to poke around Kentucky.

I think when I picked up my BV this August and rode it home it should have been right around 300 miles.

Never imagined I'd do this stuff a few years ago when I started tootling around on my LX.
And, we did the last mile in a horrendous downpour. I was creeping along, because I knew we were almost there, Dave had no idea how long his ordeal would last. At the end of the ride, Mrs Wmak had a nice hot meal for us.

Only a couple of hundred miles each day, 4-5 days a week on a Honda Elite as a courier in the Greater Baltimore area. But successive 1200+ mile days on a 1989 Yamaha FZR1000 -- sportbike that was fairly hard on the lower back and wrists -- most of it through heavy rain.

And the most awesome hot shower of the year!

Funny how long a mile can last in a downpour.

Stopped for lunch (1 hour) and gas (2 or three times?) but rode about 12 hours. Not highway, just back roads. Never looked at the odometer but I would guess 300+ miles.

1,300 miles over 5 (ish) days.

Just for conversation-I've done 500 mile plus days a couple times on my old GTS and was in the mtns much of the trip with curvy roads.
Honestly I take it as it comes and know when to get off.
A 175 mile Mexico day can be all I want while in the USA if traffic and roadway says OK I might do far more on a MC on past tours and my scoots much the same comfort level, so will see what my age and health allows?
Past weekend saw a 20 mile plus mtn bike day on a decent gravel/dirt NF trail. Love my Cloud9 new bicycle seat! better than the last same brand!!!
For the record I am not "into" the iron butt thing-for me it proves nor satisfy none of what I seek in riding a PTW.

500 miles on a GTS 300. Traveled from Marion NC (east of Asheville NC) to DeBary Fl (near Sanford FL). Just to make the ride memorable the temp was 28F when I left Marion and for the return trip it started raining, hard, in Jacksonville FL and didn't let up until after I got home. The next morning I discovered my rear tire was flat. It had picked up a piece of metal along the way.

'69 & '72 VBC... 1000km in 2-days
Il Ginchi & myself rode about 2300km, so we could do The Australian Classic Scooter Mille, which is 1000km in 2-days. Then we rode a few rides while at The National Classic Scooter Rally... In the end about 3500km in 11 days.

NOTES (for extra cred):
There was only 1km of main highway/motorway on the entire trip to The Mille.
Most were small roads, not a lot of traffic
We were both on VBC Vespas ('69 & '72)
There was no support/backup vehicle
As we were camping we had to carry everything for the entire journey
There was gravel, dirt, unsealed roads... Even a 4WD track & a ford (river crossing), due to us seeing a cool twisty road!
Lots of 10hr to 12hr (even longer) days.

I won’t say I’m a long distance rider by any measure, really haven’t the need, my scooter commute was for a while 55 miles round trip. But I digress and reiterate, I’ve really no need. However one day last week, for just a ‘mental health’ ride, I left the house with all but a full tank, rode aimlessly on some country roads, looked at my fuel gauge, I needed gas, I was in Port Deposit Md. Filled up, grabbed a snack and kept riding, by the time I neared home I needed fuel yet again. Doing the math, I figured I rode between 225 and 250 miles.....
My tuchas was sore the next day.

Edit to add I feel the fuel gauge on my Buddy 150 is fairly accurate. When it shows ‘empty’ I will put approximately 1.2 gals in a tank that supposedly holds 1.4 gals.

My longest single riding day is 360 miles. And that was taking no highways.

It was also about 8 hours of actual seat time, so I was not breaking any speed records. It was a long country ride, I got lost, didn't have my GPS and no cell service in many places.

One of my very best ever rides.

I'm assuming a CBT is similar to an MSF safety course here in the US?

Our class lasted two, 8-hour days. Rode 22 miles if I remember correctly.
