Apologies if someone's already asked (and answered) the question, but what's up with greasy? Been over two months since he's posted.

Hope all is well.

I've been wondering as well. Hoping he's ok. I emailed and messaged him but haven't heard anything. I don't know him personally but he used to be all over this forum and then suddenly, nothing...

I PM'd him a month ago and the message is still sitting in my outbox, unread... At this point I'm legit concerned... I hope he just got super busy doing real world scooter stuff and nothing bad happened

Is he not a moderator on here? Won't one of the other mods on here be able to contact him easier than any of us? Just a thought

Starting to wonder myself. Hope it's nothing, but starting to get concerned.

Everyone needs a break now and then. Especially someone like Greasy who has seen absolutely everything this forum can dish up.

Related: I've been wondering what happened to Trumpy. Hasn't posted since 2017. That guy was awesome, helped me out a lot when I was rebuilding my engine. I sent him a message months back, no reply.

Hope all is OK.

Maybe not the case here (don't know Greasy)but we do have a lot of members that are in the collect old age pension range.

Only regular I know that disappeared and came back is JP and that was I think about a year? Real life can get in the way for sure and sometimes people just need a break. Hopefully that's the case here. Too bad no one appears to know him well enough to have other contact info. That or they do and have reason not to let us know.

Anybody else remember Professor Plum? Guy knew a lot and helped me and many others. Sent me odd parts I needed & refused even the postage. I also remember that he sometimes engaged in dangerous shenanigans like this: Sunday = Funday!

greasy125’s email, or at least AN email, is clearly posted on his profile.

I joined just as he stopped posting but in my many searches for advice his insights came up all the time. That is one knowledgeable dude.

He also appears to be a forum moderator so his status is likely known, or is knowable, to some. My guess is he likes things as they are now for whatever reason so i wouldn’t suggest badgering him.

Perhaps he bought a Grand Caravan, a Corolla, or an Aztec, and is on to other things.

I know it's not really a reason to be gone two months, but maybe he was impacted by the Cali wildfires? His location did say So Cal.

Rivera Eric used to be the head of the Rovers SC in Detroit and a moderator here. Stand up guy who introduced me to scootering. Moved to PA and cut his internet scooter time but is still riding last I heard.

But then again this is Greasy’s thread. I met Greasy at his former shop to buy my smallie from someone he was storing it for. Greasy is also a stand-up guy.

Winter's coming, lots of seasonal preparation for some ppl, the holidays too. I hope he's just caught up in life, he's still a pretty young sprout here agewise.

He's got the right answers to any tech question and he will rain on your parade if you are headed the wrong way. I always enjoy his colorful language. Kinda like the American Bitz maybe. Be well, Grease Man.

I did a little internet sleuthing and dug up Greasy's full name and contact information. If any of you know him well enough and want to give him a call or send him an email, please PM me and I'll give you his details. (I don't know him at all except for reading his posts).

Just called Greasy’s cell phone and left a voice message.

I’ll let you all know if anything becomes of it.

No response from Greasy. Not sure if that cell was his personal or business phone. Read that his scooter repair business shut down not too long ago ago. Hoping this is what's causing his absence and not something else. Dropping the subject.

Greasy
I used to live a mile from his garage. About 6 months ago I stopped by his shop and everything was gone. I called and emailed him, but he seemed to have disappear. He's done wonders for my Vespa. I hope he's okay.

Having said that, I know that he's always been hard to get a hold of. He's a busy dude.
