Thinking about buying a low miles Stella with electrical problems for parts for my P200. Mainly for the fork/brake assembly. Are there any other parts that are worth buying it for? Are the shocks any better than stock? The engine must be worth something...

I would think the gauge and headset, also maybe the tank and fuel sensor - maybe the CDI, exhaust, rims, regulator, cowls, fender, etc.

For myself, I wouldn’t be after a gauge, but I love the 1/2 turn twist on gas caps tanks that came on the PX and Stella. I think they’re vastly superior to the old flip-top hinged ones.

Things that might be desirable:
fork & brakes
gas tank if you like the vent
the fuel gauge senders are all shit and never work
maybe the tires & rims if the spare has never touched the ground or they

CDI is hit or miss, timing was jumpy on my stock Stella ignition.
shocks are soft, more for smooth ride on bad roads than performance
replaced the tires with something decent

"Stella" and "Electrical" are not words that usually appear together in happy sentences.

Sounds worth it.

Will all of those parts fit? My Ps are 78 and 80.

The headset top will take a decent understanding of the wiring in order to be usable on a 70's to early 80's p. The speedometer cable is different, as is the steering lock. The horn cast is different. The cowls on the engine and spare after held on differently. Most all of the parts will for, just may need some adapting.
