I am planning on buying a GTS 300 Super this weekend and am not 100% sure about my garage space. Are there any members that could stop by my house in Carlsbad to see if the Vespa would fit?

Thanks in advance.

Here you go Mike - my GTS 300's measurements:

Overall length (forward edge of tire to tip of back fender) = 77"

Overall length (including top box) = 85"

Width at widest point (Mirrors) = 34.5"

Width at handlebars (tip to tip) = 31"

Width at widest part of body = 23"

Width with rear crash bars = 24"

Height to top of mirrors = 53"

Height to top of medium OEM windscreen = 60"

Height to top of seat = 35"

Height to top of top box = 48.5"

(Please note all heights measured with scooter on center stand)

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the measurements. They are very helpful.

I am guessing the 31Ē on the handlebars is with the weights for the top box.

I think it will work a little better if I get some shorty mirrors. Then I would have 4.5Ē inches on each side since I have 40Ē or a little more to work with.

Youíre welcome. Glad I could be of some help

Yes the measurements include the bar end weights.

I would just get the stock mirrors at first and then loosen and swivel them in to park or store the scoot. No need to spend more than you have to. Now if you negotiate them in the deal at no charge...

holler if you still need an on-site visit
I'm just south of you. I'd be happy to take a joyride north.

Still planning on getting the GTS 300 this weekend Mike? Will it fit in the garage?

It should fit, we will just have a little less room in the garage. I might go and buy from the dealer here in San Diego tomorrow.

Vespa Motorsport / Scooter West?

Mike, when you're there, please look up Wayne in the parts department. He's a good friend of mine and tell him I said hi. Who knows, he may be able to get you a better deal.

Good luck!

so not sure this helps but I have a vespa 300 super with a top box, full windshield and the steering weights. I fit it into my garage space with my Aud A3 and a storage rack in front, no issues for winter storage, in the nice weather I let the Vespa have the garage space and the audi is in the driveway. If you live in CA not sure it should be an issue as you have great weather.

I am having it delivered next weekend. I still have my learners permit and am not allowed or ready to drive it on the highway.

If you haven't already I'd highly recommend taking the motorcycle safety course or whatever equivalent California is now offering. Not only saves you from having to take the on the bike test but helps you develop good habits before you form bad ones.

And let's you learn on their bike, rather than risk dropping your brand new Vespa!

Beautiful bike... congrats!!
