Just saw some comments on Beedspeed insolvency. Lots of people have been complaining about the service since they changed ownership... not sure if this is the cause.

Always a shame when the well known scooter specialists close down or change hands. Beedspeed was one of the good places to get parts back in the day, but with SIP, SCK, Wasp Performance etc. doing such a good job...............

I had a bad experience ordering from them, and I will absolutely never, ever, ever, ever order from beedspeed again. Itís as if they went out of their way to make it that bad.

Never used them, so can't comment other than to say rumours of their death may be premature.

EDIT: I would have brought the problems that I had with them up a few months ago, but I was concerned that I would have been banned from MV. But since there are now some others who have brought this to light, I feel that now is a safer time for me to speak of my experience.

Not so long ago, you had to phone Beedspeed to make a payment, after you had ordered something on their [dreadful at the time] website. With modern suppliers (read German), you can easily find what you want, and payment and delivery options are a no brainer. It's just TOO easy to spend money!

Beedspeed may be much better now, and I've always liked their specials such as drop headsets, but in the modern internet world, there are better options around every corner.

I've ordered a few things from them and always found them as good as anyone else but with cheaper postage.

Thanks for the warning. They still advertise in Scootering magazine.
I used them 35 years ago. What a pity.

Being fair their new webshop is light years beyond the previous version. Not that I'll be using it as they've pissed me off way too much over the years even when Alan was dealing with things personally. Shame really as he really knew his 'leccy's and that was without doubt the best part of the business.

New to the scoot scene, so haven't used them myself.

It looks as if it's one of their other registered companies that's being wound-up and not the main trading entity.

About time someone wound them up for a change - they've been winding me up for ages!
