Just an idea, but instead of wearing out keyboards and turning a thread for pictures into a verbal thread for personal opinions

Why not do it here and just put pictures in that thread.

Just saying

PLEASE!!!!

How about a compromise...no complaints, opinions, or ideas allowed unless you post them with a pic as well.

...he says without posting a pic!

I said without posting a pic.

Also, Dave's right, and if the internet was a pet, you know it'd be a cat.

But no matter what we do, and no matter how hard we try, every damn morning there are still lil cat paw prints on the kitchen counter.

Can you link to the pictures?

I think I already see a few cats trying to scamper under a fence

My big issue is I promised my wife Saag Paneer for dinner and work keeps getting in the way!

I think the Lammie I posted in "that" thread was a beauty of a specimen.... I miss my Lambrettas

I do enjoy a good saag panner though I've yet to hit restaurant quality. I make a mean risotto though.

*REASON FOR EDIT* - I both love and (mostly) hate Apple's auto-correct....

Okay, I'll play. Seems like some discussion about giving negative karma personally, as well as letting the moderators deal with disciplinary issues.

On the first count, it's just not set up that way. Yeah, it seems chickenshit for people to be able to negatively dish out karma, but it also prevents retaliation....you'd have people giving negative karma to their detractors, perhaps in spades because they were upset.

As for the moderators true, their work is to clean up the messes we create, but I think it works best with some "citizen policing." I don't think mods are going to step in when someone says something a bit offensive or things are starting to get out of control-they're more of a last resort before chairs are thrown. I've seen a number of times where someone has said something to smooth things over or correct someone, and it's worked well, far ahead of any potential moderator intervention.

One of the cool features of the karma system is is you click on a users name you can see their bias rating. This tells you if they are dishing out lots of good or bad karma.

Oops - think I'm breaking the no picture rule. No scooter girl was involved in the placing of some of the saag panner ingredients though. Now I have to dig up the spices...

I don't feel creepy. Seems to me that there is a lot of beauty in the world to behold. The difference between admiring and leering. Think of it like going to a never-ending art exhibit.

Nope. Maybe TMI but just had a bath with my wife. Actually nothing kinky, just some scented bath salts and watched a few episodes of Arrested Development with a half bottle of Veuve.. Now it's time to finish up making dinner. Sometimes as a couple it's good to just stop for a bit and relax.

Are you asking the nature of the soap, or how the bubbles were formed?

It just shows whoís been dishing out a ton of thumbs down. If you click on a username it takes you to the page where you can see if they have a negative bias or not.

Hereís a user I selected completely at random to show you how it works. Pretty much everyone else here has a positive bias.

You know, bias can be a funny thing. I'm very happy about my karms "rating", and proud to have earned a 5 roundel. Hopefully this means I'm a helpful member of the community, as I truly try to avoid getting into petty arguments or opinion issues here.

But bias? I haven't looked at mine, but I could bet I'm negatively biased.... I thumb down something I see as disruptive to the community, whether someone attacking another member or just being a butthead. On the other hand, I don't run around with a "thumbs up" just because someone was nice or stating an opinion that most of us agree with.

BTW, pork chops and broccoli for dinner tonight. I'll be able to make my own bubble bath!

No mention of your opinions on the pictures.
