got a bike recently that was recovered after theft. The lock cylinder completely damaged. Got a part for $25 from the dealer In Brooklyn and did the replacement. Here is the report

Have you inserted the lock bar before welding the lock holding?? If not, you’ll now need to drop the steering column to get it in...

the fork needed to be grinder to get rid of some scuffs on the metal, so i will be taking it out. Plus, because the stem of the fork was in the steering tube, it took some of the heat from welding.
