I just got a great deal on 4L jugs of Motul 15W50 Oil.
Sealed, Brand New.
The date stamped on the bottle's is 05/2015.
Should I be concerned that it is Oil.

I did some searching and from what I can see, anything less then 5 years old should be Ok, what you guys think?

I'd use it.
And if you have a sealed bottle still around five years from now, I'd use that, too.

It also depends on the storage conditions my friend...

5 years is the shelf life for SEALED containers. Once it is open it's 6 months.
It is the additives that break down, not the oil.
I would not use oil that is over 5 years old in anything I own.

It's not the oil it is the additives the break down.

Thanks....
I won't send it back then.
I figure the 2 Jugs will last me about a year until it's used up.

Even "dino" oil was refined a year or two ago, not 400,000 million years ago.

On an atomic level, the same could be said of the cheese in my refrigerator.
