I tried to change but poor quality bulbs with great brightness made me swap back to conventional bulbs after they have failed.
When failed were flickering.

There is not enough room behind the headlight shell for the bulb fans. Unless you cut into the plastic fairing. This would open them up to all the wet and grime you may experience though. Then there is the voltage converter box to consider room for. Of course once the fairing is cut you will have room back there for that.

I recently upgraded my ST1300 with F2 Katana bulbs available from Amazon. The difference will blow you away. Stay away from the cheap bulbs. The beam spread and especially the cutoff is shit with those bulbs.

I got mine from Maksor on here, its only the cooling fins that stick out further than the original lamps.
If you look on the back of your lamps you'll see a rubber cap, you need to cut a hole the size of a pound coin in the rubber for the cooling fins to stick through and that's it.
I ran mine like this for over a year in all sorts of weather and they stayed perfectly dry without any problems at all.
The converter box is weather sealed so thats not really an issue, I stuck it on with double sided tape to the back of the light housing.

Look at the link and you can see the cooling fins on the lamps, thats the part that sticks through the rubber.
Like I said over a year and no problems.

I used these for my low beam, https://www.amazon.com/BEAMTECH-Headlight-8000Lumens-Extremely-Conversion/dp/B06XHD78DQ/ref=asc_df_B06XHDYTGL/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241932433092&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10604678091739164099&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9028276&hvtargid=pla-492629991768&th=1

and any high-brightness bulb will work for the high beam.

The reason that these are preferable is that the LED emitter is small and about the same size and position as the filament in a halogen bulb. This makes the optics in the headlight surround work properly; the cutoff line is is in the right place, etc.

For the high beam, there is no particular focus required, so any bulb works. I opted for a 10,000 lumen pair with COB emitters, but it's just specs at that point.

If you have a dual-filament H4 bulb (high and low), then I've found the Beamtech to be more than adequate for the same reason. I put them in my car as well.

Just not enough Brightness...
I am sure in time LED Technology will improve.
I want to be Very Bright when riding at night, so I don't get hit.

Keith, you would not believe how much light the F2 Katana's put down the road. I would estimate about twice what a halogen will do. And they have very good cut-off so no one flashes you at night. Plus the light is absolutely white. You can see much, much better, and be seen! Of course I am using the H4 bulbs in my ST1300 and Prius but the effect is the same across all bulb lines. My business partner has H9 bulbs in all of the lights on her Lexus (lows, highs, and fogs) and they are amazing!

Could anyone tell witch set I would need for my Matilda. She's 5 years old with a single Headlight on the left and double high beams. I would really like to have double Headlights and double high beams. Would anybody know what I would need? Thanks.
